Hardworkinghippy and Fabrice and their off grid, home built house and smallholding in Bourrou, France
Well it's tonight folks - are you going to set your alarm to watch it ?HERE'S some information.
La Ferme de Sourrou
Hi Irene,We saw it! I am visiting a friend in Chicago, and it is a very clear night here and we are right on Lake Michigan. It was beautiful. So opaque, like a thin sheet of chocolate-orange colored japanese paper. It looked so 3-dimensional. My husband called and left a message on my phone, describing it (astronomy binoculars). That was beautiful, too. I wondered what the deer and geese were thinking. So how was it over there?
Lucky you !A moon eclipse is great, because you can really look at it properly and with binoculars it must have been really clear. BUT - I'm ashamed to say I didn't set my alarm. :-(I did leave the window in my bedroom uncovered which can I see the moon from. I thought if the eclipse wakens me (or the dogs) then great but if I don't waken then my body really needs the sleep. I must have slept like a log...
Sleep is good! This was supposed to be a once-in-a-millenium eclipse because of Saturn and another star or something. (?) Usually I sleep through them. Anyway, I photographed it; if the pictures are decent, I'll post one and will let you know.-- V.
Yep, right now sleep is very good !I'd love to see your photos, looking forward to that!
