I discovered this from 'little house on the prairie'! I resorted to it on my rayburn when we moved in, and it had not been properly looked after at all. You have to fire it up right afterwards and get it to burn hot, the soot soon burns off and leaves a lovely gleaming black surface.<BR/>You probably knew that!<BR/><BR/>JackieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
